Luxury Woollen Fabrics
Moon still make all their tweed fabrics in their unique woollen mill, where they have been crafting quality fabrics for 180 years.
Their roots are in apparel, but Prodoto work with Moon to promote their beautiful interiors ranges under the Bronte by Moon brand.
The Brief
Our Production team visited the Abraham Moon mill to receive this exciting brief from their Marketing team.
A collaboration between Abraham Moon and The National Trust meant this was a high profile project for both of us.
We talked through the beautiful mood boards created by Leon from Moons, and made suggestions on how we could provide all of the looks he needed in the most cost effective way.
Then it was back to Mytholmroyd to brief the Set Build Team.
Shoot preparation
A lot of planning goes into the production of the classic Georgian look, from making working shutters to using the correct scale of wall paneling.
Our Set Build team started on the build designs. Enjoying the challenge of creating three 17th century rooms designs using 21st century materials.
While Set Build were busy with CADs and measurements, the Production and Styling teams were liaising with Moons Marketing team, selecting props from Prodoto’s extensive collection, and sourcing additional items where very specific looks were needed.
The Build
We had 3 distinctive looks to create, but with clever use of shoot angles and a versatile corner set we planned to achieve the required looks across 2 sets.
The biggest challenge of this build was the casement window. But with their precision build, the team created the beautiful period window with perfect flush fit shutters.
The Shoot
As usual, the team from Moons came to the studio the afternoon before the shoot to check over the props and products which our Goods In team had collected from them, and along with Prodoto’s Stylist to begin preparing the sets for the next day.
3 sets in one day meant everyone had to work hard, Set Build were on hand to hang curtains and blinds and make last minute touch ups, our Stylist was on the go all day working on setting up the next scene whilst Photography were getting all arty with lighting and angles.
Perfect Teamwork
It’s always great when clients attend their room set shoots, the instant feedback and hands on involvement keeps the shoot moving, but mostly just because it is great fun working with people who have such a passion for their product.
